Over the years I have picked up a lot of knowledge about a home. With that experience many of the basic issues are dealt with smoothly. However it's not too uncommon for something new or different to pop up. Using my physics degree I specialize in problem solving, as well as coming up with the right solutions that are most efficient for you and the environment. If I don't know what do to, I will tell you. The last thing I want to do is be that guy that comes to your house and leaves a mess.

TILING
In my own home I have completely remodeled a few bathrooms. I've also added a completely new one to my basement which involved digging up concrete.

CARPENTRY
My favorite thing to do is carpentry. The beauty of wood is unparalleled and using it to make people's homes nicer is a real pleasure. From building cabinets to minor carpentry projects I can help you with what you need :)

PLUMBING
OUTDOOR
At my own home I've sweat plenty of pipe and have done all the plumbing necessary to build a bathroom. At your home I can do all the needed repairs to existing fixtures and leaks. I can also advise on larger projects!
Depending on what the issue is, I can also do plenty of outdoor tasks. This may range from outdoor carpentry and electrical, to helping with landscape stones.
Drywall

ELECTRICAL
For larger drywall projects I am no longer cost effective. However for small patch jobs and clean ups I can definitely help you out. I've done entire rooms so small jobs are easy for me at this point.
After working in DC for over 10 years I've pretty much seen it all. However every once in awhile a real mystery will pop up. These are my favorite since problem solving is what I learned in college. If you have an issue others have failed at, I have a good track record of ending that trend.
I've done pretty much any electrical project one can do on a residential building. At my own home, I have run a new sub panel as well as install solar panels. At your home I can help with fixtures and diagnose issues.
Tutoring
Not only do I work on homes, I also tutor Physics and Math, with a dash of Chemistry on the side. If you include tutoring non-professionally I've been tutoring for 16 years, I've been doing it professionally for 12.
